Depending on whether we’re working together in a series of individual sessions, you’ve signed up for a course with a package deal, or you’re looking to book in a training workshop, paying for sessions works in a few different ways. So, allow me to clear up any questions you might have regarding payment…!

Counselling or coaching – standard series of sessions

Most clients choose to pay for each session one at a time, paying at the end of the session. You can make payments either in cash in person, or via internet banking. You will receive an invoice at the end of each session for your records.

Occasionally clients choose to pay for multiple sessions in advance. This is not a requirement or obligation, but an option that is available to anyone who prefers to manage payment in this way. You will receive invoices for all sessions that have been paid for. If you are unable to attend a session you have already paid for, you will need to rearrange the appointment. This must be done at least 24 hours in advance in order to not forfeit your payment.

Fee structure

Standard fees for counselling are $80 for a 60-minute session, and $100 for a 90-minute session. For healthcare card holders, a discounted rate is available. Discounted sessions are $60 for a 60-minute session, and $80 for a 90-minute session.

Fees for all counselling clients are per session, not per client. This means that if you wish to attend as an individual, couple or family, the fee is the same regardless. At any point you may wish to bring a family member or partner to join you for a session or few. This is fine provided you advise me of your preference in advance, and we agree that it would be beneficial for you.

Standard fees for coaching are $100 for a 60-minute session, and $125 for a 90-minute session. For healthcare card holders, a discounted rate is available. Discounted sessions are $80 for a 60-minute session, and $100 for a 90-minute session.

Please note that my service does not receive a Medicare rebate or any government subsidies. Any discounted rates that apply are my professional choice to offer pro-bono services to clients. I believe that financial circumstances should not get in the way of achieving goals.

Coaching or workshop package deal

All coaching or workshop package deals are available at a discounted rate.

Examples of package deals are as follows:

  • Series of six 60-minute coaching sessions for $480 for standard clients, and for $390 for healthcare card holders – this works out to a discount of $120 for standard clients, and $90 for healthcare card holders.
  • Group psychoeducation package of six 90-minute sessions for $240 – this works out at $40 per group session per person

All package deals are to be paid in full in advance in order to secure your place on the course.

In order to decide whether a package deal is right for you, we first arrange full-length 60-minute consultation in which we discuss your needs, and whether the course you have chosen is the best fit for you. This consultation will usually take place at least one week before your course begins. You will need to pay the first $80 (or $60 if you are a healthcare card holder) at the end of this session. You will then need to complete payment for the course to secure your place before the course begins. If you decide that the course is not right for you, you will not be asked to complete payment. However, you will be asked to pay for the session as advised.

Training workshops

All training workshops are available as packages to the organisations or community groups that request them. They are designed in consultation with your team in order to ensure your needs are met, and that training is delivered in a way that best suits your team.

After our initial consultation, which is free of charge, I will mock up a draft plan tailored to your needs. We will then discuss a timeline and framework for delivery of the training. Once we have agreed on this, then I will request a deposit of 50% of the full fee prior to commencing work on designing your training workshop or program. After I have completed the design of your program, and delivered the training as agreed upon, I will request the remaining 50% of the full fee be paid within a timeframe agreed upon in our contract.

Some clients prefer to pay the full fee in advance. This is not a requirement or obligation. It is, however, an option that is available to those who prefer to manage payment in this way.

Fee structure

Please note that the initial deposit of 50% is non-refundable. My commitment to completing the design of your program means I am not available for other work while I am working with your needs. Please bear in mind that the design of your training workshop is a consultative process. Therefore, there is a great deal of flexibility regarding what you can request, and how much work is required to meet your needs. My fees as outlined are standard:

  • 90 minute workshop = $300
  • half-day training = $500
  • full-day training = $800
  • 2-day training = $1,500
